Danny the Champion of the World is a creative novel by Roald Dahl about the life of a boy named Danny. Danny is raised by his father because his mother died when he was young. His father is a mechanic who teaches Danny everything that he knows.Danny’s father calls him the “Champion of the World”, because he să e him from the keepers.
I am Laurentiu from Romania I really liked this character. Danny is a very good boy. He is nine years old and he is very close with his father, because he doesn't have a mother. He has a very simple, quiet and happy life with his father. In the novel Danny gets even closer with his father and learns that no one is perfect and adults. Danny grows up and understands many things. He is a very kind kid.

He has a very simple, quiet and happy life with his father. They live in a gypsy caravan. Danny grows up and understands many things. I really liked the character.
Danny's a happy child. His life isn't full of expensive things or luxury, but it's full of interesting and fulfilling experiences, and a lot of love, all down to his dad. Love gives him wisdom, and strength: but of course even the kindest most loving adult is a well of secrets, and Danny finds out his Dad is a more complex character than he dreamed... Isn't everyone? That's part of growing up, too. The book is full of wonderful things to remember, like the quotes. "Most of the really exciting things we do in our lives scare us to death. They wouldn't be exciting if they didn't".

This book fascinating and the character Danny is very sensitive boy. I liked that he is telling us the story in a very sweet language. I want to read more and more when I opened the page of the book. This book appeals to the child in me.

Nevertheless, his dad was doing his best for Denny to make his life happier: he was reading him books, telling him funny stories, and giving hime some inte interesting gifts. But Denny was still unhappy because his biggest dream was to go to school.
Hi, my name is Denis. Im from Odesa, Ukraine. When I began reading this book I thought it was for little children. I did it because our teacher asked us to do it. But after some pages I couldn't stop reading and read it practically the whole night. And you know now I look at my parents differently. I began to understand that everuthing they do, they do for me, for my brother. They make our lives more comfortable and easier. Thanks, Roald Dahl, for the life lesson.

Danny, the Champion of the World is a fantastic read, centred round a little boy, Danny, who lives with his father, named William,in a gypsy caravan. The close bond between father and son develops as Danny begins to discover there is more to his already wonderful and enchanting father than he ever knew. The other characters that shape the story of Danny are : Victor Hazell - The main antagonist of the book. Described as a snobby, rich pheasant owner; Lord Claybury - The lord; Dr. Spencer - Gives Danny the idea of using sleeping pills; Captain Lancaster - Danny's teacher, and a strict disciplinarian who enjoys corporal punishment; Miss Hunter - Social worker; Mr Snoddy - The schools headmaster, he has a red nose and is always drinking 'water'. However William believes he is actually drinking vodka and having fun with girls; and Sgt. Samways - The local policeman, who always leaves off H's at the beginning of words they belong to and adds H's where there shouldn't be.
